WHAT OUR SUPPORT LOOKS LIKE

Generally, the Foundation's partners are women-managed organizations in the Global South. In exceptional cases, focus women also cooperates with organizations based in Switzerland, provided they look back on a relationship of many years and are well established in the respective project area.

The Foundation's local partners are the experts: they design and implement projects, while focus women supports their ideas and activities. Regular communication is based on trust and mutual respect. It is not just about successes: challenges and problems are also discussed openly.

The Foundation works with selected organizations during several years. This helps to grow strong partnerships where the partners can continue to develop and expand their projects. Whenever needed and possible, focus women provides a platform for local networking.

The focus women foundation uses its own network to look for new projects and partners; it does not accept any applications.
