focus women is a non-profit, politically and religiously independent foundation based in Switzerland. It was created by a private initiative. The foundation considers women's participation in society as a constitutional right and adopts a feminist approach.

The beneficiaries of the Foundation’s support are women and girls who are unable to realize their rights and potentials due to discrimination, oppression and/or poverty. They need to be empowered to participate in society so that they can exercise their social, economic, and political rights autonomously and unrestrictedly.

focus women is guided by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and further international instruments calling for women's rights.

An annual funding budget is available to the Foundation. The funds are drawn from the Foundation's capital. The Foundation's funds are used for specific purposes and invested sustainably.
